UPFA Prime MInister hopeful Mahinda Rajapaksa, who expressed confidence of winning 117 seats in the next Parliament, told Today that once he becomes the Prime Minister, he would take a Cabinet decision regarding the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) set up by incumbent Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Asked about the future of the pending cases on allegations of corruption and financial fraud allegedly committed by his former regime, Rajapaksa said he would hand over those cases to the Police to investigate if there was substantive
evidence to continue with those cases.
