Five hundred more graduate are being recruited to teacher service in the western province.

Five hundred more graduates are being recruited to the teacher service in the western province. They will be assigned for teaching the subjects of mathematics, information technology, drawing and western music. The letters of appointment will be handed over at the New Town Hall, Colombo on the 22nd of this month. The relevant graduates were called for interviews after receiving their applications.
Director of western province education Wimal Gunaratne said that the national education institute and the western province education department have provided training for the recruits. It has also been reported that more than 11,000 graduates were recruited to the western province teacher service in the recent past.
