The fisheries talks between Sri Lanka and India in new Delhi have been successful.

he ministry of fisheries says that the talks between Sri Lanka and India on fishing have been extremely successful. Special attention has been focused to enhance fishing between the two countries. Director General of fisheries S.T Hettiarachchi told the National Radio that an Indian delegation is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka shortly with the objective of enhancing the negotiations.

The Director General added that however, that the talks were not centered on violation of sea territories pertaining to fishing. He further said that the India central government did not include this issue for discussions.
