Six persons including several UNP Parliamentarians who were issued notice after being charged with trespassing and assault at the defence training school of Sri Lanka Ports Authority in Slave Island, were released on personal bond. Colombo Fort Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered each of them released on personal bonds of one million rupees. UNP MPs Ravi Karunanayake, Ajith P. Perera, Nalin Bandara and R. Yogarajan had visited the training school on a fact-finding mission, on information that the premises was being used for political activities.
Four UNP Parliamentarians who were charged with trespassing at the Defence Training School were released on personal bond.
