4,618 motorcycles have been distributed to public service field officers of the Northern Province.

Under the programme of providing motorcycles to public servants in order to improve the efficiency of public service President Mahinda Rajapaksa distributed 4,618 motorcycles to the public servants in the Northern Province. The function in this connection was held at the Doraiappa Stadium in Jaffna yesterday. At present the government has provided motorcycles to public servants involved in field work in several districts.
