Six trains ply between Jaffna and Colombo daily from tomorrow.

Six trains will run daily between the two cities. An intercity train starts its journey from Mt.Lavinia at 5.10 am and stops at Dehiwela and Bambalapitiya stations. It will leave FortRailway station at 5.50 am and expected to reach at 12 noon in Jaffna.
Another intercity trains leaves Colombo Fort railway station at 11.50 am and it will reach Jaffna by 6.00 pm. Another train bound to Jaffna will leave Matara Railway Station at 9.40 am. Normal fares of Yaldevi train from Colombo to Jaffna for the third class is 360 rupees while the second class ticket is 600 rupees. A ticket for the ColomboJaffna intercity train is 1500 rupees.
