SLBC has produced a CD to mark the Sri Lankan visit of the His Holiness Pope Francis.

Arch Bishop Rt. Rev. Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith says it is commendable that Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation has produced a CD titled “Saul of Christ Sangeeth Sandwani” to mark the proposed visit of the His Holiness Pope Francis to Sri Lanka. The Arch Bishop says this visit is a very important event for the Catholics in the country. Pope’s visit will lead to ENHANCE religious reconciliation in Sri Lanka. He made these comments at a ceremony held at the Sri Lanka broadcasting Corporation today to launch the ‘Saul of Christ’ music CD produced by Controller of Drama Unit in the SLBC Vajira Indika Karunasena. The Arch Bishop further said that Chairman of the SLBC Hudson Samarasinghe is a leader who is loyal to the SLBC and the country.

Participating in this occasion Venerable Rambukkana Siddharatha Thero said SLBC and its Chairman’s efforts to enhance religious reconciliation are commendable. The first copy of the music CD was handed over to the Arch Bishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith by Chairman of the SLBC Hudson Samarasinghe. DG of the Samantha Weliveriya, Additional Director Erananda Hettiarachchi, Chairman of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Wimal Rubasinghe were also present at this occasion.
